Jack Ayres, Vice President of SMJ Contracting, Inc. has dedicated his entire career to the construction industry. With 36 years of experience, Mr. Ayres continues to embrace the ever changing dynamics of the industry. As a graduate of Roxborough High School in Philadelphia, Mr. Ayres immediately entered into the construction trade. Mr. Ayres took up courses in Civil Engineering to enrich his education with construction.
Mr. Ayres also has extensive safety trainings, OSHA training, CPR and First Aid, and is certified in asbestos abatement. Mr. Ayres performs estimating as well as project management with mostly the larger commercial projects. Mr. Ayres truly believes in team building within the company, as this is a testament to SMJ Contracting, Inc.’s success. Mr. Ayres also strives for well rounded relationships with subcontractors, to ensure exceptional quality, timely project completions, competitive budgeting, as well as safe working environments.
While not at work, Mr. Ayres enjoys the time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and an occasional round of golf with friends and / or associates. Mr. Ayres also enjoys softball, playing drums, and diving with great white sharks.
